How to Lookup Email

You can do an email lookup in two different ways. You can use someone's name to find out their email address, or you can lookup someone by their email address to find their phone number and name. Online you can find many email lookup directories. These directories normally charge a subscription fee, but then you gain free access to an unlimited amount of email lookups.

If you know someone online with whom you communicate with via email and want to find out if he or she is who they say they are, you can do a reverse email lookup. This allows you to find out the information that they provided when they opened up their email account. A reverse email lookup is like a reverse phone number lookup and gives you the information with just the email address. This can help you find out if someone who you are emailing is actually on the level when it comes to who they say they are.

Reverse email lookup can be provided at the same directories that will give you an email lookup when you provide the name of someone. You can provide the name of a person who you know and you will see their email address once you belong to this service. The same services will often give you the same information that is listed in the telephone book such as the address and phone number for the same price. In most cases, once you belong to an email lookup service, you can find out listed phone number, addresses, names and email addresses at the click of a mouse.

Why would you want to use email lookup to find someone who you have not talked to in years? In most cases, this is done to re-establish a friendship with someone. If you have not talked to your friend in years, you may wish to contact them via email. There is something less intrusive about email than the phone and most people are more ready to accept this form of communication. If you are like most people, you get hundreds of emails a day. Many of them are junk mail emails or spam, but others are from internet friends and people with whom you communicate. If you get an email from someone who you have not talked to in years who went through the trouble of using email lookup to find you and say hi, chances are that you will be flattered.

You should use a free email service if you do not want your email available in the reverse directories or by email lookup. Free email services are available at sites like Yahoo and Google. People cannot call you or find out your name or phone number When you use these emails to communicate. Many people use free email who prefer not to put down their phone numbers. All they put down is their real name and the area in which they live. In this way, they can be contacted through email lookup if someone they know wants to contact them. For those they do not wish to talk with, their personal information is still guarded.
